Monday Memories: 4 Weeks!

Levi...

You are 4 weeks old!

*You are taking 2 1/2 -3 oz of formula every 3 hours

*You sleep very well at nighttime in your rock and play sleeper

*You coo'd for the first time Friday 07/22/11

*You have really taken to the swing lately

*We tried putting you on your tummy to sleep, and you woke up 10 min later

*I absolutely love it when you stretch after waking up....it is the.cutest.thing.ever!

*I have started calling you "Levi Man" I'm not sure where that came from but I keep saying it

*You had your first bath on Tuesday 07/19/2011 and you liked it and the lotion massage afterwards

*When you are finished eating, you go on "lock down" mode with your lips. Its so Funny

*You are holding your head up really well and can move your head from side to side

*We had to try Gripe Water with you because you are sooooo gassy. Its the way you take your bottles and you just gulp air. We have tried the wider bottle from Dr. Brown and Playtex Nursers, and we are sticking with the wider bottle from Dr. Brown

*You had two bad days this week, I guess its from you being so gassy. One day, you didnt sleep at all and the next you slept all day long and wouldnt eat much and would ONLY sleep in the sleepy wrap next to mommy. I enjoyed it though I didnt get a proper shower in two straight days =)

*We went back to church on Wednesday night....first time for mommy and daddy in nearly 2 years
*You are taking your pacifier very well

Monday Mempories: 3 Weeks Old!

Levi, You are 3 Weeks Old!

* You are taking between 2-3 oz every 3 hours or so

*Your umbilical cord fell off Sunday, and I am ready to give you your first real bath!

*We put your first Happy Heiny cloth diaper on you last night!

*You went to church for the first time yesterday 07/17/2011

*You love your carseat and being in the car

*You have been to Walmart 5+ times already in 2 weeks!

*You are still in newborn clothes with some 0-3 month onesies

*You still love your Rock and Play sleeper

*You are staying awake more and more and I love seeing your beautiful blue eyes

*You are one gassy and burpy little guy....we are trying different things to help you

*You like your Sleepy Wrap most of the time

Monday Memories: 2 Weeks Old!

Levi...

You are 2 weeks old!

* You are staying awake more throughout the day

* You are taking 2 oz every 2 1/2 to 3 hours

*You had your first 4 hour stretch last night!

*You love your rock and play sleeper to sleep in at night right next to mommy and daddy's bed

*You sleep great in your crib during the day, but forget about nighttime, not sure why

* You make funny noises while you are in early sleep, its quite funny

*You can burp and toot really loud

*You make the funniest faces while you are asleep, especially your lips!

* You sneeze like an adult, very dramatic

*At your 2 week Dr. appt....

Weight: 8lbs 15oz

21 inches long

Very healthy little man

*We switched you to Similac Sensitive but then Mommy switched you to Gerber GoodStart Protect. The Similac had way too much sugar.

*You have been constipated and we are trying to give you 1/2 ounce of water and prune juice to see if it helps. This just makes mommy cry, seeing you this way.. I am still beating myself up over not breastfeeding.

*Your daddy loves you so much

*Azul is starting to act jealous, but he likes to be near you.

Jesus:

Its been two weeks since you have blessed Matt and I and our families with sweet Levi, and I have experienced a ton of different emotions which I am working on but I need your help. I am very thankful to all my friends and family who have been so supportive by offering kind words, advice, bringing meals over, and just loving on my precious son. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to be his mommy and I pray that you give me your peace as I try not to freak out about everything and as I place Levi in your hands which is the best place to be! I pray for his tummy as we continue to seek out the formula that is right for him. Guide me as his mommy and Matt as his daddy. Thank you Jesus!

Monday Memories: One Week Old!

Levi...

You are one week old today! Crazy!!!!

• You weigh about 8 lbs 9oz (as of Thurs 06/30/2011)
• You are taking between 2oz and 2 1/2oz of formula every 3 hours during the day and like to stay up at night =)
• Today is your first holiday
• You and Azul seemed to be adjusting well together
• You seem to like your sleepy wrap, which I love to have you so close
• You enjoy car rides
• Your daddy is so proud of you, I love to hear him talk and hold you
• You are so chunky.....everywhere!
• I am still sad about me giving up on breastfeeding you too soon, its not like your mommy to do such a thing, but you were hungry. You have been doing great on your formula though. I praise the Lord for an easy transition.
 

Jesus,

Thank you for a wonderful week with my Levi. He is just so perfect and I cant wait until he wakes up from naps just so I can hold him. You made him so special and perfect for Matt and I. I can not thank you enough for seeing us through every moment of everyday and look forward to many blessings as a family.
