So when Matt bought this for me, I was estatic!!

I am amazed at what the Lord is able to teach me just by opening my ears to his message. One of the ways that I love to worship is through music and song! This song has such a powerful message if we just let him speak to us.

This past Monday 09/28/09 marked my 12th year for being a CHRISTIAN and Follower of Christ! He is the One who makes my day whole!

Jesus has so richly blessed me with my husband MATT. He is my best friend and I love to be with him and live our life together. I have ENDLESS blessings in my life because of Jesus, and I pray that you who are reading KNOW Him as well.

Thank you Jesus for loving My Family and Me unconditionally and keeping us all safe and healthy! I pray that you reveal yourself to me and show me what you want me to do for you!

1. Do you cook every night?4-5 nights a week. Lets just say that I LOVE my crock pot =)

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? Sun, and just because I had a coupon

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? M,W,F- colors Sat-whites

4. How often do you eat out per week? 1 maybe twice

5. Where do you usually eat out? Osaka, McAlister's

6. What is your favorite retail store? Ross's,Target, or Walmart

7. What's your favorite thing to drink? Sweet Tea, Diet Dr. Pepper

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind? Nope

9. What percentage of the household chores to you do? 88% inside. 12% outside

10. Do your children do chores? No Kids

11. Do you go to church? Every week =)

12. Do you have a housework schedule? No, I am OCD with cleaning, so everyday

13. Do you keep a working budget? YES!! I am proud to say that we make a monthly budget and
also sit down weekly to pay the bills together!!


14. What do you do at night as a family? Play with our blue chihuahua Azul, take walks, watch T.V and Blog


15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? Make sure my house is clean, lunches are packed, and somewhat of a schedule of time management for the week =)


16. What do your mornings look like? Wake up at 5:30, play with puppy, take care of odds and ends and kiss Matt goodbye!!

17. What time do you get up in the mornings? 5:30am weekdays, 7-8 weekends

18. What time do you go to bed at night? 8:30-9:00pm...I know that's early


19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? {bills, school work, magazines, ads, etc} IMMEDIATELY go through it. Junk goes into trash, File away Bill stubs, and place bills where they belong.


20. How do you keep your household organized? I love Baskets for everything. Filing Cabinet for important documents, and by keeping clutter to a minimum.

Hello Blogging World!!!

Welcome To Workman Witticism's!!!

My Name is Ashlee. I live in Oakland, TN...(20 Miles from Memphis) and I have been married for 4 years on August 27!!!! My husband's name is Matt and works for a local engineering company. We have no children, but one incredibly cute and spoiled BLUE chihuahua named AZUL. I work for a insurance company as an administrative assistant, and hairstylist part-time. We just recently built a home in Oakland, and we REALLY enjoy decorating it with tons of color and "different" unique items, and enjoy being able to do most things ourselves, i.e painting, moulding, building planter boxes, landscaping....

We attend Trafalgar Villiage Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Matt has been there for many many years, and I have been a member for 12. I started coming with Lindsey, Matt's sister and my best friend. I enjoy singing in the choir, fellowships with my SS class, and my Savior who loves me unconditionally.

I have 2 younger brothers and an incredible hard working single mother who is so eager to do whatever it takes. She is so strong, hopefully one day I can be that way. I have a fairly large family with 2 amazing set of grandparents, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, 7 nieces and nephews, and lots of furry friends among us all.

Matt and I dated for 3 1/2 years before getting married in 2005. He and Lindsey lived 2 houses down from me in Bartlett. Lindsey and I were best friends, and I always LIKED her younger brother MATT....she never knew. Matt never knew. After I graduated high school, we started dating and became inseparable.

We have been married for nearly 4 years, and he has made my life complete. You always dream of things, but in reality, most hardly happen. Matt is my BEST FRIEND, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE to be with him and experience new and exciting things. We enjoy traveling, golf (MATT), nights spent at home, DIY projects, Big Brother (guilty!!), The Amazing Race ( WE WILL BE ON THERE ONE DAY) our other best friend...AZUL(chihuahua), and many more things, But most importantly is JESUS, who without HIM, NONE of this ABUNDANT LIFE would be possible. He has BLESSED us more than words can fathom. Jesus has completed me and my life, and added my sweet MATT to enjoy things together that HE has created!!

I am very excited to start this little blog, called Workman Witticism's. Matt and I enjoy laughing, being silly, and enjoying one another. He is very witty and I wanted a name that would sum us up completely.

Along the way, there will be posts about recipes, crafts, DIY projects, and life with The Workman's. Enjoy..........
