DIY Monogrammed Tray

I made this Monogrammed Tray for my friend Sarah for her housewarming party.

It cost a TOTAL of $3.50
(Price breakdown at bottom of Post)

Here is what you will need:

A Wooden Tray
Wood Stain (I used MinWax in Ebony) Or Spray Paint it
Mod Podge-Matte
Spray Adhesive
Scrapbook Paper
Cut Out Typed Letter of Your Choice

Here are the Steps:

1.) Sand and Stain Wooden Tray
***To Save Time-Spray Paint***

2.) Cut two 2 " strips of Scrapbook Paper and use Spray Adhesive to glue it down
****I did this because 1 piece of Scrapbook Paper would't cover it all****
I think it made it look nicer

3.) Trim and Place Coordinating Scrapbook Paper and apply Spray Adhesive to the back and paste down.
*****ALLOW ADHESIVE TO DRY 1 HOUR before the next step!!

4.) Apply 2 coats of Mod Podge
***ALLOW MOD PODGE TO DRY COMPLETELY BETWEEN COATS***

5.) Step back and Admire!!!

There you have it!!! A personalized Monogrammed Tray!!!

It cost me a total of $3.50 to make this.
PRICE BREAKDOWN:
Wooden Tray- $2 @ Michael's (1/2 off)
Scrapbook Paper- $1.50
I had everything else.....But the more projects you do, the less materials you have to buy for the next one.

This would make great Christmas Gifts for Teachers, Friends, Family.......

Love it! Adorable, affordable and reproducable. All my favorite "ables"!! You could easily make those as teacher gifts, too, for all the teachers and would hit the best mom around! I think I might give it a whirl! Thanks so much for the fun idea!!

How cute! I've got a $4 tray from Goodwill that is begging for a makeover, I just may have to try this, thanks for sharing!

I love this, it's a great change to the chalkboard trays I see everywhere, I'm going to have to follow you and try this for myself as well.
