This is my one of my FAVORITE things that we have done to our home yet! I am so thankful to my husband Matt for taking on my ideas with gusto!!
After we painted beneath our dining room chair rail and a GIANORMOUS wall in our living room, I had a BRIGHT idea!!
Why not bring all these colors together with a wide tall RED stripe around and above our fireplace.
I know several of you have seen these photos, but I wanted to post some before pics =)

Very striking, Ashlee! It definitely brings your eye over to the fireplace.
The red looks so rich! I'm glad to find you from Susans! I'm followin!
Great job integrating your colors and pulling them together with the fabric in your pillows!
Stop by....

I love how nice the red looks! This was a great idea!
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a beautiful transformation. Really, really nice.
Came back...saw your note to sign up to follow. To be honest, I thought I had already signed up, so I'm glad you told me! Thanks for following me too! See ya around!
That is dramatic and becomes a focal point. I love it!!! The yellow breaks it up and makes it warm. Great color combo! You've got great tastes!
I love the bright colors, too, and how you used them!
I love the 2 colors together. You have a great eclectic style/

The red looks great! It makes such a difference on that big wall to put the focus on the fireplace. Nice work.
It looks awesome. Draws you to the fireplace, highlights the contrast with the white and warms up the room. All of your accessories pull everything together nicely. Great job!
Great idea! The contrast makes the fireplace stand out SO much more! Very pretty :)
In college I painted an accent wall red. It took three coats. HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of work!
Love the red....I have had so little time to do any blog reading and I have missed it...stop by my Christmas blog and leave a comment. The giveaway is a great Christmas CD to add to your collection.

What a cool feature wall you created. I always LOVE red.
Wow, what a diffrence that red makes. It lights up the place.
I love the red. I'm so glad you are so gutsy with color!
Have you ever considered painting your fireplace and the tv cutout black????? I think it would really pop against the red.
I love red on walls!!! It really pops!! Great work! It really makes the room warm and cozy! Enjoy

Brilliant! The fireplace almost disappeared before on that huge wall. Now it's THE feature of the room! I love it! I've been tempted to try the primer + paint. It looks like it went on very well.
Very cool!I think it adds a bit of life to the whole room!God bless!:)
