Meatball Subs

This is one of Matt's favorite dinners. Its pretty easy and takes no time at all. I got this recipe from my SIL.

Ingredients:
1lb ground beef (ground turkey doesnt do well in this recipe)
3/4 cup bread crumbs
2 T Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 egg beaten

1 french bread loaf
marinara sauce
mozzarella cheese (l 1/2 cups)

Mix all of the above ingredients (beef thru egg)
Mix with hand thoroughly.
Make about 12 - 15 meatballs, and bake at 375 for about 20 min.

Meanwhile, cut french bread in half and scoop out some of the bread on the inside to make a well for the meatballs and sauce.

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder lightly on the bread. Put in oven the last 5-7 min off the meatballs cooking time.

Heat up marinara sauce, and spoon sauce on the french bread, cut the meatballs in half and layer into sauce. Add some mozzarella cheese and pop back into the oven for 2-3 min until cheese melts. Enjoy!
