Matt Maher: Hold us Together

I wanted to share a little story about how God IS in the small stuff!!!

I heard this song by Matt Maher a couple days ago and I couldn't get it out of my head.

I looked up the video, and just fell in love with it even more.

When I got in my car, I prayed that KLOVE, out of ALL their songs, that they would choose this one to play (not to mention that they were doing the spring pledge driving-which equals out to alot of talking....but for VERY good reasons)

Anyhow....

I had a total of 5 minutes to my destination.....

and....

It came on! Oh my goodness...GOD IS GOOD!!

Zac Smith

The Story of Zac Smith from NewSpring Media on Vimeo.

I found out about this man, Zac Smith's Story from KellysKorner. I encourage you to watch this video.

This was exerted from Kelly's Korner:

A sweet girl named Mandy Smith e-mailed me this weekend. She wanted to share the story of her husband with me. Her husband Zac is 33 and has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He is currently on hospice. They have 3 children and work for a church in SC. Their hope is that God would be glorified through Zac's life - no matter what the outcome and wanted to share a video he made.

I know that bad things happen every day to wonderful people and so many of you question why? I question why? I don't think we can always fully understand why this side of heaven. But God is God and God is GOOD - no matter what.

This was such a powerful video. Why do bad things happen to good people?? I feel completly useless in the Lord's work right now, and yet something like this happen to such a sweet couple, who ARE working for the Lord. But he does sum it up when he says, No matter what....God is Good.

To get you thinking.....

My friend Sissy sent me this via email, I thought I would share...

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being

disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Some Sweet Words

God  is so big HE can cover the whole world with his
Love

and so

 Small

He can curl up inside your heart.

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen,

either He'll catch you when you fall,

or He'll teach you how to fly!

Born Again-Third Day

Oh my!! This video had me choked up from the first chord of Music!
Look at how Happy all these people Are!!!

How I take Jesus for granted daily, and not thank him for ALL that he has done for me!
Sure, I thank him generically, but to just be in awe of HIM and the endless blessings that HE has done for me goes on the back burner too often!!

WOW!!
Its been 12 years since I was baptized, but this video just proves that you can be SAVED and BAPTIZED anywhere!!
I even think some were being baptized in a swimming pool!

Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you,

Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

(John 3:5)

"Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

(Mat 28:19)

I would love to hear your thoughts on this video!!

Come and Listen

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

Come and Listen by David Crowder Band

I am amazed at what the Lord is able to teach me just by opening my ears to his message. One of the ways that I love to worship is through music and song! This song has such a powerful message if we just let him speak to us.

This past Monday 09/28/09 marked my 12th year for being a CHRISTIAN and Follower of Christ! He is the One who makes my day whole!

Jesus has so richly blessed me with my husband MATT. He is my best friend and I love to be with him and live our life together. I have ENDLESS blessings in my life because of Jesus, and I pray that you who are reading KNOW Him as well.

Thank you Jesus for loving My Family and Me unconditionally and keeping us all safe and healthy! I pray that you reveal yourself to me and show me what you want me to do for you!

More Beautiful You...

Have you heard the new Jonny Diaz song called
"More Beautiful You"???

The LYRICS:

Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn’t straight her body isn’t fake
And she’s always felt overweight
Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair
Are perfect just the way they are

There could never be a more beautiful you
Don’t buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you
Little girl twenty-one the things that you’ve already done Anything to get ahead
And you say you’ve got a man but he’s got another plan
Only wants what you will do instead
Well little girl twenty-one you never thought that this would come
You starve yourself to play the part
But I can promise you there’s a man whose love is true
And he’ll treat you like the jewel you are

So turn around you’re not too far
To back away be who you are
To change your path go another way
It’s not too late you can be saved
If you feel depressed with past regrets
The shameful nights hope to forget
Can disappear they can all be washed away
By the one who’s strong can right your wrongs
Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view
And with His light He will show you truth
And again you’ll see through the eyes of a little girl

We are made in God's image. Not just the man. Not just the woman. Both male and female are made in God's image! Incredibly, this is not just true before the Fall. When God made us in the womb of our mothers (Psalm 139:13-16), he made us in his image (Genesis 9:6). Because people are precious to God, because we reflect something of the character of our Creator, each person is to be valued. None is to be denigrated, belittled, or cursed (James 3:9-12). People are precious, not only to God, but also to us because in some special way they reflect his image.

Oh My Goodness! This song is so GOOD! I wish when I was younger that I would have had this to listen to. It talks about how you are perfect JUST the way you are.

We were made in God's image and we shouldn't be discouraged because we don't look like someone else.

God created YOU, and you are who He wanted you to be!

I encourage you to watch and listen to the video.

I have it posted on my RIGHT sidebar for you!

JUST BE YOURSELF!

Happy FRIDAY!
