"Babymoon" Days 3-4

Warning: Tons of Photos

Day 3: We woke up last Saturday morning and we were alrady docked at Cozumel.

Cozumel

Bump Pic

While we were waiting for our ship to clear the coast guard, we saw a Royal Caribbean Ship making its way into the port

We got off the ship and Three Amigos is one of the famous grill and cantinas at the end of the pier. This is always the busiest place right before the ship blows its final horn signaling to get back on!!
The waiters can carry several margarita glasses on a tray on their heads.

I love thus pic. Its just an old tiled stairway, but I loved the colored in it.
Perfect for our living room.

I knew that I wanted to get a bracelet made with Levi's name, but oddly enough, they already had several to choose from in the marketplace.

Matt's new hat.

Singing Senor's

We docked at the Puerta Maya pier

We grabbed at taxi and took us to Nachi Cocom, the beach resort that we had booked for the day.

We got our own palapa

More Pics

We had absolutely gorgeous weather, which totally surprised me since we had only been in April and August in the past. The temp was in the 80's, and the water was so nice and crystal clear.

Levi's name in the sand.

This was an adventure. If the waves didnt get to it first, then our shadows were in the way.

Me and Daddy to be

Playing "shuffled row" on my Kindle.
Matt and I go back and forth trying to beat each others scores.

We each got a three course lunch (included in the price)
It was so much food, and delicious.
We opted out of the third course =)

I was covering my face because the people next to us thought it would be funny to smoke one of their disgusting cuban cigars.

It wasnt funny.

After Nachi Cocom, we always go to Pancho's. Its also at the end of the pier, but not nearly as crowded. And....it has hammocks, one of Matt's favorite things.

We always order quesadillas, but this time we ordered taquitos
AND
Fresh PICO!!!!

This is the view from Panchos. It makes me feel better to see the ship once the time gets close to get back on. Our ship is behind the other one.

And this pic is out of order.
(it was takin with our phone)

Day 4

We staying in almost all of the last day.
Matt was pretty burnt, and I didnt need anymore sun.

We sat in on Bingo.
Watched a kids talent show.
and ate.

That night, we went to a show called "big Easy"
it was a tribute to New Orleans. It was fabulous!

The last night before dinner. I made a towel creation (no pic) for our stateroom steward and we put a tip in an envelope on the towel animal. I made a sting ray...it wasnt good.

He obviously thought my creation was funny, because when we got back that night.
He showed us up.

This is his version.

It made me laugh!

Ok. That was our babymoon.
We didnt take alot of pics of the cruise ship itself, we just wanted to relax most of the time.

We enjoyed being with one another and knowing that in a few years, we can begin traveling with our sweet baby boy.

"BabyMoon" Days 1-2

Day 1

New Orleans

Rome Lounge
(Where all the FANTASTIC shows, bingo, newlywed game, dance classes, etc take place)

Our inside stateroom
( All 150 sq ft of it)
It doesnt have a window, but we decided 2 cruises ago, that the window wasnt worth the extra money

We were at the VERY back of the ship. This pic shows the long corridor to the front.

Matt outside our stateroom cabon with our "babymoon" sign

"Babymoon" Sign

Day 2
(Bad Pic)
We both got a little burnt.
This was formal night, but we didnt get all dressed up like past cruises

Our towel animal that our stateroom steward makes for us each night.
Frog

Enormous piece of cheesecake from the bistro

Thats a wrap fro days 1-2.
We spent the day louging around in the sun. Watching the hilarious newlywed game, shopping the tax free shops aboard the ship, eating ALOT, sleeping ALOT, and reading.

Friday, I will post our Cozumel day and the final day.

Babymooning in Cozumel!

Matt and I are off.........
On our 5th cruise to sunny Cozumel.

We scored majorly on a 4 day cruise to the Caribbean and we could not be more excited! We knew that we wanted to take a vacation babymoon before baby W is welcomed in late June.
Cruising is our favorite type of trip and its all inclusive with f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s food!
We actually scored this trip for less than $200 per person.
Yep.....told you it was a fabulous deal.
No way could we have gone to the beaches of Florida for a condo and food for this.....NO WAY.

I could only cruise until my 25 week, so we searched and found the cheapest week and in an instant a babymoon was planned...

20 days away!

While we are in Cozumel, we booked a day pass to an all inclusive resort at Nachi Cocum, and will enjoy a three course meal (Bring on the Fresh Pico!!!), Chairs underneath our own palapa, and endless sun and BEAUTIFUL azul waters!.

Wikipedia has this to say about a "Babymoon"

A babymoon is a period of time that parents spend bonding with a recently-born baby.

More recently the term has come to be used to describe a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby. Babymoons usually take place at a resort that offers appropriate services like prenatal massage.

The term babymoon comes from the more traditional term honeymoon, which is a vacation taken by a newlywed couple after their wedding ceremony.

And here is a video about the Top 10 Reasons to take a Babymoon!

So, did you take a "Babymoon"? Or what did you and your spouse do to get ready for your new addition??

Showing our Razorback Pride!

Matt and I are Arkansas Razorback Fans! We love going to the games and "Calling the Hogs"

Here are a few pics of how we cheer on the Hogs!

Flag outside our Home!

Screensaver at Work
(Lets not talk about that game =))

We listen while we are in the car!

A razorback themed "W" displayed on my shelves (Reveal Monday)

And....of course Azul has some Razorback pride in his bones as well.
Well, he likes the bacon and ham that comes from them anyways!

Matt and I are headed to the Razorback/Ole Miss game this weekend in Beautiful Fayetteville, AR.
We will probably be watching the game in the rain according to the weather channel, but I will be there....
Face Tattoo and All.

Mountain View

Matt and I took a trip Labor Day weekend with another couple from our S.S class that is getting married on Oct.2.
Matt and Davis have been mountain biking together and Becca and I are running partners on Monday nights.

We went to scenic Mountain View, AR.

We visited Blanchard Springs Caverns

Beautiful Water Falls

Matt being Matt

Sorry, this pic is pretty dark. It was the point where water exits the caves.

The small town was very busy with antique shops, folk singing, and good food.

The guys went on over 50 miles of mountain bike trails called Syllamo Creek (I think?)
Becca and I shopped and enjoyed laid back mornings watching HGTV and wedding stuff.

We also went horseback riding through the mountains. Matt was less than thrilled at the idea, but he ended up enjoying it.

That little town of 2500, really has alot going for it, even though my pics really do not do it justice.
It also has beautiful campgrounds surrounded by mountains, rock beaches, cliff jumping, etc.
